Material Matters, 18” by 24”

I am a NYC based artist who uses my background and life experiences as a therapist, social worker, BA in history and religious studies and current student at New York Studio School in my visual art.

I’m interested in the psychological and evocative in paintings - exploring a person's multifaceted nature with figuration and abstraction through the universal symbol of the circle - in acrylic and oil. I’m drawn to the simple yet emotionally complex, odd and characterful, and to shifting perspectives, moving between microscopic and aerial views.
